OUR STORY

Located only 15 minutes outside of downtown Chapel Hill, the Honeysuckle Farm and Tea House is a unique and tranquil space tucked away in the Orange County countryside. The tea house is an open air structure, built with repurposed materials and timber framing, and vaulted on four shipping containers from a Norfolk, VA shipyard.

Surrounded by 72 cedar-ringed raised herb-beds, a greenhouse, a flower & herb labyrinth inspired by Buddhist & Hindu mandala designs, and an 8 acre elderberry, blackberry, blueberry and Camellia Sinensis farm, life is vibrant and plentiful at the tea house. Besides selling seasonal apothecary items, 'Farm to Beverage' artisanal drinks and health conscious bites, Honeysuckle also offers WIFI, a myriad of educational workshops, yoga, and garden tours.

Unique Ownership and Profit Sharing

We like to say that the Honeysuckle Tea House is part of a "farmily of venues," because we are not only owned by a family of farms called EastWest Organics, but also because our farms and business venues work together like a synergistic "hub and spoke".

Our farms grow the products we use to make many of our beverages, and our venues (which include the Honeysuckle Meadery and Wine Bar, and the Looking Glass Cafe) serve as the spokes to bring all that farm goodness to the public.

Another part of our farmily is our nonprofit partner, Unique Places to Save ("UP2Save").  UP2Save owns 20% of EastWest Organics, which means that 20% of all profits go to support their nonprofit mission!
